Smallholding Sense: Health and Husbandry

We all want our stock to be healthy and indeed as smallholders, we have a legal duty of care to provide the best environment we can in order to minimise ill-health amongst our animals. Three key factors are crucial: 1) understanding the daily and seasonal needs of animals in your care; 2) developing a good relationship with your vet and between the two of you, creating a health plan for your holding and 3) reacting appropriately when things go wrong. We hope that the articles and links on this page will help and support you in achieving all three.

The Celebrating Smallholding UK website went live in September 2019 - as each section grows, we will add more headings and subheadings and maybe even an index to make it easy to see what is available and to find the content required.
